Super Boring EXCITING Update

Soooooo….

How have you been??

Sorry I disappeared and haven’t kept this updated. I’ve been busy and mostly just lazy. Haha. Hmmm… Since February 2nd, I haven’t had much happen to me. Well, I’ve had a lot happen, but nothing too monumental. Haha.

Well, to start off, my new semester, and last semester of High School ever kicked off. It’s my easiest semester ever too. WHOO. It’s really hard to pick my favourite, but I think that my cooking class is my favourite, considering that’s what I want to go into. I made a new friend in that class too. Yay friends!! Haha. My hardest class this semester is probably my first period class, and it’s only because it’s so boring. Sorry!! I just find it hard to sit there and make an opinion on stuff that I haven’t really paid enough attention to to even have a basic opinion, nevertheless to have a debate about.

Second, I hate dresses. I hate shopping for them, and I hate wearing them. Well, not so much, because it’s one day every four or five years, so that’s okay. But I just hate shopping for them. I’m a really picky shopper as it is, and taking me shopping for something I hate shopping for will cause frustration and anger, as I got this weekend. Haha. Guess what we did. Yupp, prom dress shopping. I didn’t find any dresses I liked, but there’s a surprise. Haha. I did, however, see one I liked two weeks ago, that I didn’t like at the time, but it kept growing on me. So I think we’re going back to that store sometime soon to look at their dresses again.

Third, I’ve started writing again. Well, writing for my writing class, anyway. Haha. It’s an awesome class. I had to write a poem for it, and I personally think it’s one of my betterish ones, even though I’m not completely happy with it. All of the people I showed it to loved it so.. Haha. Ahh well.

OOH REALLY COOL THING.
So I don’t know if you know what the TAPS Paramagazine is, but it’s really cool. (Link: www.tapsparamag.com ) I’ve been following it for half a year now. It’s all about paranormal stuff. So, recently, I’ve been talking to someone on the magazine on Twitter (Aaron Sagers). We just talked about random stuff and I helped him with searching for speakers. Recently, he got promoted to Editor of the magazine. That was pretty cool. So, anyway, the TAPS Paramag tweeted that they are thinking about putting aspiring writers to work. So I tweeted them back. They tweeted me this: “@Jenn5655 Aaron said you seemed cool and that counts for a lot so maybe you can write for us” .  The editor of the magazine said I seemed cool. I freaked. I was literally jumping for joy. It was the coolest thing.

So, that’s pretty much everything important that’s happened with me so far. I’ll keep you posted, by being more updated, maybe every week or two. :D

See you :D

Keep smiling (:

ZOMGWTFBBQ

Yupp.

I haven't posted on here in FOREVER. Sorry. I've been super busy. All of my teachers loaded a ton of work on me, then I had exams. Whoo!! But it's all over now. Haha. So, I have a lot to tell you then, if my last post was January 14th.

FIRST

Epically huge news: I GOT INTO THE SCHOOL I WANT TO GO TO!! I'm so excited about that. I've been hyped since I found out yesterday, at about quarter to seven in the morning. What's better is that my mom came home with a sweater for me for that school. :D It's so comfy. :D I'm pumped to go. I'll be doing culinary management, so I'll be making a ton of awesome food and learning all about managing culinary stuff. Haha. It's going to be awesome.

SECOND

There's this huge snowstorm hitting us. Well, that hit us, anyway. I was all ready for 40+ centimetres, like they were predicting. What did we get? 10-15 centimetres, with drifts because of the wind. I was a little disappointed, but relieved at the same time. There's already almost a foot of snow out there, so this addition just isn't good, in my opinion. Haha. What can I say though, I like Spring!! It's my favourite season, and this winter is killing me, because there's been warm days that tease me. Grr. Oh well.

THIRD

Exams. Yeah. They were fun. I had two on one day, then one on each day after that of the first week. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Let's just say my Wednesday exams went better than the other two. Haha. My afternoon exam on Wednesday should've been hard, or long. We had two hours to write it!! Guess how long it took me. No guess? Okay. It took me... Wait for it.... 35 freaking minutes. I'll admit that I felt kind of really bad for my teacher, being done so early. I wasn't allowed to leave though, until the hour mark. It sucked. I sat there for 25 minutes, staring at the wall. What was worse was that the guy sitting two desks in front of me (there was an empty desk between us) kept jiggling his leg, and because the desks were so close together, it was shaking my entire desk. I sat there, thinking about how I could get him back. My sister later suggested throwing bits of eraser at him. Too late now. Oh well.

My other exams took better time than that. Two of them took an hour (one was an hour and a half exam) and the last took an hour and a half. Overall, I think I did okay. I'm hoping anyway. The exam I wrote in 35 minutes, I think I almost aced. However, that was the exam I studied for the most. Maybe that's why it took so short. Haha.

So, ever since I was young, I've had a fascination with dinosaurs but I never did anything with it. Sure, I had plastic toy dinosaurs that I'd play with, but I never did anything, really. Until now. I went into the dollar store just the other night, just going to find stickers with a group of friends for my sister, who was with us. We were on our way to see a movie, and stopped there first. When we got to the stickers, I found bucketloads of dinosaur stickers, as well as dinosaur 3D puzzle things and dinosaur pencils. What did I do? I bought the freaking puzzles and pencils, and my sister bought the stickers. I've gone dino-crazy. It's awesome. Dinosaurs are the best. There's a bunch of the foam-type 3D puzzles sitting on my shelf now, as well as a dinosaur sticker on my computer. I'm happy now. Hahahaha.

Also, I rearrranged all the posters in my room on the weekend. There's now a ton of posters on my wall that I found in my closet from years ago, as well as the ones already there. It looks really cool. There's tiger pictures and stars hanging from my ceiling, all of my squiggly drawing and home made movie posters hanging  on the wall above the door, as well as my Steve and Tango poster. I also have an old Scooby-Doo poster that I've had for years up on my wall. Old like, "Scoody-Doo Where Are You?" old. It's epic. I'm loving it. :D

Anywho, I think that's a good update for now. Now that my schedule's not so hectic, you will get more blog posts from me.

Have an awesome week!!

All Work and No Relaxation Makes Jenn Want to SPAZ

Haha.
Yeah, I've been overloaded with work.
It almost feels like my teachers thought, "HOLY CRAP. THERE'S THREE WEEKS LEFT UNTIL EXAMS." Then they all got together and decided that two of them would assign projects, while the other two shot tests at me and threw work at me that was overloading. Then the other two who had projects also gave me more work. One gave an essay and the other gave a test and raced through lessons. Yay three-five hour homework sessions each night!! I've never done that, and I never want to do that again. -.- EVER.

So one of my projects was that massive media project I mentioned a while back. Yeah. I just presented it today. Can't say enough of how much of a weight that was to have lifted off of me. It rocked, if I do say so myself. Except for the fact that I scared people in my class. Oh wait, you really don't know what it was about. Oops. Here, I'll recap it for you (:

My project was analyzing how paranormal reality shows ramp up the fear by using music, editing and narration techniques. I went on to compare Paranormal State and Ghost Hunters. It was pretty awesome. The clips I used were really effective, as almost everyone looked nervous or scared at some point. I hope none of them have nightmares tonight!! I'd feel so bad. ):

Anywho,

My other project involves making a probability game for a sort of casino thing we're doing in class. It's kind of interesting. Mine is all intense and has three different steps to it. My partner and I are making it tomorrow. This project isn't too bad because I don't have to present. Whoo!!

That essay's done too. It was due today. Anyone who follows me on Twitter (box filled with my tweets is on the side  ----------->) will know that I'm not too proud of it. I'm not. Slaughterhouse-Five was practically imposssible to analyze. Maybe it's because I was so done with everything else, or because I couldn't figure out all the metaphors, but it was hard!! Oh well, it's not a big deal. I'm more worried for this other one that we're writing in class. It's worth 15% of my mark!! :o However, this one I just wrote for today was worth 10%. Hmm...

I have to say, I love school (don't make fun of me!! It's kind of fun) but it's slowly turning me into more of a hermit than I'm comfortable with. I can't even spend time with my family because of all of this work. That's why I'm so excited for this weekend. I have maybe three hours of schoolwork (making my project for casino night) then FREEDOM!! Until Monday, anyway. (;

Merg... All this talk about school is stressing me out. :P

Plus, I'm bored of it. :P

I realize I haven't blogged in a while. Sorry about that. I've had ideas for a blog post, but they always came when I was doing schoolwork (imagine that). Hmm... Outside of school, what happened?

Oh yeah!! Haha
So I went to a hockey game for our local team just last weekend. I got to sit in a box!! It was exciting. And no, not a PAPER box, an actual box that those big, rich, influential companies buy to sit in and stare at all the people in the rink below them. It was cool. My dad got the tickets for free and we got to go. While we were there, I was taking pictures of random stuff and texting them to my friend because she wasn't there. I wanted her to see the box. Haha. Before I continue with this story, I need to tell you this: I have NEVER gotten in trouble for texting in class. I don't text in class, so that may be why. ANYWAY, back to my story. So I'm sending her these pictures, and the score. The second intermission starts, and who's sitting in the box next to me but my grade seven/eight science teacher. He leans over the railing and doesn't say "Hello" or "How are you?". No. He says "Are you texting or watching the game?" Haha. First time I ever got in "trouble" for texting from a teacher. He was joking around with me, and I told him what I was doing. After all that, I thought it was pretty cool seeing him there. He was an awesome guy and one of my favourite teachers. So anyway, in this box, I was sitting with my dad, who always takes me to these games. The announcer guy told the stadium that if the home team scored 7 times, everyone in the arena was going to get free burgers from Harveys. My dad was pretty excited. Every time they scored, my dad would yell, "BURGER!!" at the top of his lungs. It was hilarious. Yes, we got our burgers. The home team won 9-4. It was AWESOME. I was proud. :D The burgers weren't too good, but I was proud of the team for that win. :D

I also made cupcakes on the weekend, and pizza too. :D The cupcakes turned out great, everyone loved them. They loved the pizza too. When I was making a pizza with the stuff I wanted on it, I put it in the oven (duh, Jenn). When I went to take it out, what do I do but drop it on the burner?? Yupp. Luckily my parents were there to help me. My dad grabbed it with his oven mitts and pulled it out for me. Yay, no fire!! Just burnt crust. Hahaha. It was still good. I didn't eat the burnt piece though. :P

Hmm.. What else happened? Ooh, I raised my math mark to an 80. That's pretty awesome, considering last year I passed with a 65. :D Yeah, two completely different maths, but still. :D

I got some new pajamas too. They're cool. :D I'm running out of things to type about. There's not much more that happened to me. :P

Hmmm... What's in the news lately? There's that whole horoscope thinger, which is just confusing me. Meh. Oh well.

About the Tucson, Arizona shooting, my thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who are suffering from this. I wish everyone who is recovering to have a speedy recovery, and to those who lost loved ones, I mourn along with you. ): It was a sad thing to happen, and it was unfair.

Also, about the "aflockalypse", I don't know if I'm actually trusting these things. I mean, I know these are tragic events, but come on, it happens all the time, at least, that's what they say. Haha. Seriously, it's sad to see all these animals die. It's got to be a little shocking and sad to have the mass animal deaths occur in these towns. Is it a sign of the apocalypse? Personally, I don't think so, but believe what you want to. It's always open to opinions.

Anyway, I think I'm done catching you up. (: Thanks for reading!!

Smile!!

P.S. Don't forget to do something nice and random. :D It's always nice to jump in and help someone out with homework or something like that. :D

My Week Plus My Take on TAPS

So this week, I went out shopping the day after Boxing Day. Probably not my best decision, as I previously talked about my people and space issues. Oh well. I got a cool new winter hat. It’s a tiger, and it’s made of wool so it’s really warm. I also had to buy season one of Paranormal State for my massive media project; doesn’t bother me though, because I like Paranormal State. Not as much as Ghost Hunters, though. Anywho, also this week, I got to go to a hockey game. That was pretty exciting, as we were sitting right behind the hecklers, so we got to hear everything they said and see everything they did. It was pretty funny. Of course, it was also awesome because the team I like won, so that was pretty awesome too. I’ve also got a foam finger that’s hanging on my wall. Yupp, I’m that cool. Haha.
This week also happened to have New Years in it. Gee, how could that pass by so unnoticed?? Wait, probably because I don’t party all hard core. Haha. I usually just sit around with my family and play board games, then count down with the rest of the world who lives in the Eastern Time Zone. This New Year’s celebration also included a “party”. Pretty much what I mean by that is that our neighbour invited us over to celebrate (we left before midnight). There were drunken people playing the Michael Jackson dancing game on the Wii. It was pretty hilarious, until they tried to make me play. I ran and hid in a corner. I used the excuses that I would hurt my wrist, because I would as I have wrist problems (I know, 17 and I already have an issue like that, haha), and the excuse that I just don’t dance. Someone else volunteered, so I could hide still. Yay!! Haha. It was pretty funny to watch though, when one of them kicked the table. We went home at about 11, and then played some games. It was pretty fun.
The only thing that sucked was that I went to bed at 1:30 AM and then got up at 7:30 AM. It was awful. I sat in my room and worked on my project because I couldn’t focus on anything else. I was so tired that I couldn’t fall asleep. It was brutal. I got more sleep last night though, so that was nice.
So that was pretty much my week. Yay for a boring week!! Again. Haha. Well, the hockey game wasn’t boring, and going to my brother’s hockey game the night before wasn’t boring either. Haha.

So, onto my other topic: My Take on TAPS

For those of you that don’t know, TAPS stands for The Atlantic Paranormal Society. They are a group of people who go around, helping families with their paranormal issues by trying to debunk the claims. They debunk 80% of the claims, and only 20% end up being paranormal. They also have a show called “Ghost Hunters” that’s on Syfy or OLN (for Canadians like me). The show is them going around helping people with their claims.
I got a couple of the seasons for Christmas. They were season 4 part 2 and all of season five. When I was watching the live show from season four, I watched the jacket pull. For those of you who don’t know what I’m talking about, Grant is walking through the basement when something grabs his coat three separate times. You can actually see it be pulled down.
I watched the jacket pull multiple times, because I knew people were pulling it apart, saying Grant was a fraud, that he set the jacket pull up. Pretty much, that it was staged. I watched it a lot, and I still don’t see what you people are seeing. To me, it looks like it is being pulled away from him. It’s almost impossible to put fishing line up your coat and pull away from yourself. Think about it, you’re confined to inside your coat, which isn’t a lot of room. How do you pull away? If he had it outside his coat, someone’s light would have reflected off part of the fishing line, and we would have seen it. From what I pulled from it, the only way it could have been staged is if someone from the crew behind him pulled the fishing line. But again, we would have seen some reflection. Plus, his collar was up around his neck. There were no dents in it that would have fishing line tied around it, and you’d need to have the fishing line pretty tight to be able to make the collar drop like that. Personally, I don’t think it was faked, but that’s what I believe. What you believe is what you believe.
All in all, I trust TAPS. I think they’re a good group of people who are just trying to help people. They seem to be legitimate to me. I am sceptical about the evidence, only because I look at it and think, “Maybe someone stepped heavy and the flashlight flickered”. You never know. But whatever evidence they get, they immediately try to debunk it, which is an amazing thing to do. They could just come in with their cameras, hear noises, and then tell the clients that their place is haunted. Instead, they go in and immediately go after the “most debunkable” claims first. That’s awesome to see. For as long as I can remember, I’ve always tried to find the source of a weird noise that I hear. Where my bedroom is, there are all the pipes, the water heater, furnace, etc. so I hear a lot of weird noises. At first, I couldn’t figure them out, until I thought about it, and then looked around. When I realized what everything was, I was okay with the noises. They help me sleep at night now. Haha.

Anyway, that’s my take on TAPS and the jacket pull. I could go on for hours, but I really don’t want to bore you again. Haha.

Thanks for reading :D

Christmas and all that Jazz

Hello!!

To start things off, I hope you have had a great holiday so far. (: I know I have. Haha.
How was Christmas for you? Mine was pretty good. I got a lot of stuff that I wanted. It’s kind of made me more of a hermit than I used to be, because I got seasons of Ghost Hunters, so for the most of today I’ve sat somewhere just watching Ghost Hunters. It’s pretty awesome.

I went to a couple Boxing Day Sales. Let’s just say, they weren’t as busy as I expected. In fact, it’s busier on a Sunday afternoon than it was this morning. Haha. Anywho, I got some neat patches, so I’m pretty happy. They didn’t stick too well after a while, but my mom got them to. She’s awesome like that. (:

In other news, I finally got my Starbucks Vanilla Latte I wanted. Yay!! I’ve been craving one for about two or three weeks, and my dad finally caved and took me there. While I was there, something weird happened though. I was standing in line, and my sister was behind me, a little spaced out. There was no one near my back, as I was standing kind of sideways in line. I suddenly felt a sharp jab-type poke in my shoulderblade. I asked my sister if it was her, but she said no, as she was a little spaced out. I tried to recreate it, and the only way I could was to poke myself. It was odd. It could’ve been a really odd muscle spasm, but I’ve never had a muscle spasm like that in my life, so I don’t know. It was odd and cool, definitely set the mood for the rest of my day.

As I said earlier, I’ve been a hermit for today, pretty much chilling in my bedroom watching Ghost Hunters. When it got dark out, my family got the idea that it would be fun to try and scare me. Needless to say, it didn’t work too well; I had stopped the show and watched them. They didn’t realize I knew what they were doing.  There was scratching and banging on the walls, people running by my door, people flailing limbs in my doorway, among other things. It was hilarious. However, as I went back to watching my show, I realized how dark it actually was, and how freaked out I was getting. So I turned on my lamp. Haha.

As for the news, I haven’t really been paying much attention, because I’ve been so hyped up for Christmas. Haha. However, I noticed that right before Christmas, there were quite a few fires. It was kind of sad, because these people may have been celebrating Christmas, but had to deal with a burnt house two or three days prior.

I can’t believe I’m having writer’s block right now, while just trying to talk about my week. To be honest, my week was very dull. However, I did go on a baking craze. This was my baking schedule:
Tuesday: Chocolate Chip Cookies with m&ms in them.
Wednesday: Shortbread and Hot Cocoa cookies.
Thursday: Sugar Cookies and brownies.
Saturday: Pie filling for my mom’s pie crusts.
Guess how much of the stuff was eaten?? BARELY ANY. I put in all that effort, and there’s still a ton of it left. Haha. Except for the pie; everyone eats the pie. Oh well, what are you going to do, right?

Anyway,
I hate having such a “short” blog post (short compared to my others, haha), but I can’t think of anything else to talk about.

Have a great holiday season!!
Stay safe!!
Eat all the leftovers!!
Smile!!

Too Much School..

...Okay, maybe not this week exactly.

So in my previous blog post I went on about the power going out in the movie theatre. It's really funny because right when I was going to post the blog post, our power went out for about five minutes. Luckily, I hadn't pressed any buttons so my work was still on the page. When the power went on, I his "Publish" and it was all good. Haha.

So, that night, the winter storm kept me awake all night, with the wind blowing past my window. It was really loud, and woke me up at the worst times. I hated it. I got up around 5:30 AM, because I couldn't sleep anymore. My sister grabbed the computer and checked buses. They ended up being cancelled. My parents kept us home from school.

Sweet!! Long weekend!!!

At least, that's what I thought on Monday. Sure, I got an extended weekend, and it was awesome. I loved it, after I got over missing a day that I thought I needed. Turns out, I missed pretty much nothing. Whoo!! However, they really should've closed the schools because it was way too dangerous to be driving, but whatever.

One of the worst things I've ever woken up to reading as a text: The County is under a state of emergency. That's how my Tuesday started at 5 or 5:30 AM. Again with the early morning. Yaay... I got up around 6 AM to see if buses were cancelled, as I would have had band at 7 AM. They cancelled the buses again. I looked up this state of emergency, and found out it was because of the amount of cars stranded on the major highway. So I went on Twitter and proceeded to rant about how it's not safe, and they should close the schools. While I was ranting, I periodically checked the bus cancellation website. Turns out, they closed the schools during my rant. I made it seem like I closed the schools single-handedly via twitter. Haha. It was fun. However, I was worried too, because the State of Emergency meant that the county would be calling in the military to help. Someone like me would think it's amazing and terrifying to see the military coming to our little town, where it's never happened in my thirteen years of living here that I remember. I was also sick and tired of being at home, because we were literally snowed in through our back door, and it was really hard to get out the front door. I think our back door is still frozen shut right now and it's Friday. Huh. I felt better about staying home Tuesday because the schools were legitimately closed. My dad had signed up for the one-month free Netflix deal, so we watched Paranormal State for part of the day. Yay!!

Wednesday rolls around, and I still wake up around 5:30 AM. It was killing me to wake up this early. My sister walks in my room and says, "Buses are cancelled again". I grunted, then asked if we could go to school, in my 3/4 asleep mode so it sounded more like, "CanI gahooo too sschooolllll...??" My parents said yes, and I was overjoyed. I know it sounds ridiculous, but I'm one of those people who can't stand being stuck in one place too long. Yaaay. Haha. I had been in the house four days straight and I wanted OUT. I went to school, and it turned out practically no one was there. Again. Oh well.

Thursday was interesting. It was the only "normal" day of the week. But it really wasn't normal for the week, because two days the buses were cancelled, one day school was closed, and the other was a half day. But whatever. Most everyone was there, but we still didn't do much. The awards assembly was cancelled, and the concert for Wednesday night was cancelled, so my week was just torn apart and ruined. I think I'm still picking up the pieces of the plans I had made for the week. Haha.

Thursday was also interesting because it was the only morning I "slept in". I got up around 6:15 AM. That's sleeping in for me on a Thursday, but really sleeping in for this week.

Today, Friday, went as usual, meaning I woke up at 5 AM. But this time, I stayed in bed until 6:15 AM ish. I went to school, learned nothing because the day was a write-off, and came home at noon, because of shortened classes. I proceeded to pass out on the couch for a bit, because of my ridiculously early mornings throughout the week. I was done with that. Now watch, tomorrow I'll be awake at 4:30 AM. Yeeesh...

I also learned something really interesting this week:

Okay, a couple of things:

1. When you don't get enough sleep, you do really stupid things.
2. While not getting enough sleep, you may try to drink soap.

I know both of these because I did a bunch of stupid things this week, and yes, I almost drank soap. I was getting a drink of water from the tap in a little paper cup, and almost grabbed the soap pump to fill my cup up. I stopped myself in time though, thank God. That night, however, I was washing my face and somehow managed to get a handful of bubbles in my mouth. I spat them out, thinking how nasty my mouth was going to taste. The soap I was using was vanilla soap, by the way. I thought it was just perfumed that way. No. It literally tastes like vanilla. I really wish I didn't know that, but I do, so that's interesting. Haha.

I'm a little worried for this weekend, just because of the state of mind I've been in this weekend. Seriously, right now, as I'm typing this, I'm thinking about squirrels. Yeah... I need more sleep in my life.

I'm so excited.

It's almost a week until Christmas!! Right now, I'm sitting in my room, typing this and listening to Christmas carols with only the Christmas lights on that are hanging in my room. They're purple. (: I'm also wearing a Santa hat. I'm so excited.

It's such a great holiday, because I get to spend that one day with my family, and everyone is there for dinner, and it's just a fun day. We are a pretty close family, and have a lot of family dinners, but Christmas dinner is always just so special. I love it. I love the feeling in the air, and having the Christmas carols playing in the background with the Christmas lights on all day. Oh yeah, the presents are pretty awesome, too. (:

Oh yeah.

Today was a half day at school because we have a two-week break ahead, starting Monday!! I'm so happy. It's going to be awesome. I don't know what I'm doing over break, but it will be fun. :D

Ever heard of www.xkcd.com ?? Yeah, I only heard of it a couple of days ago, thanks to Karl Pfeiffer from Twitter (@KarlPfeiffer). I'm hooked on it. It's funny. A bit of it I don't get, but for the most part, it's pretty funny. Or insightful. :)

Anyway, I need to rev up some more Christmas spirit into my family, if we can get any more Christmas spirit into this family we have so much. Have a great week!!

Smile!!

I'm Smiling but I Might Just be Crazy

...Or not. Haha.

Soo....

Right now, there's an epic snowstorm (well, epic for this area anyway) and I'm annoyed at it, but happy at the same time.

ANNOYED because I was supposed to go see Harry Potter with two of my friends. We were sitting in the theatre, waiting for the movie to start. There was only about fifteen minutes to go when Poof!! The screen turns off and these lights on the side came on. We were confused. Finally, my friend Seb said they were emergency lights, so the power must be out. I was thinking, "Greaaaatttt...". It sucked. We sat there for about twenty minutes, then they evacuated us from the theatre into the lobby, where we sat for another ten minutes. then we got refunded and left. It sucked. To top it all off, the winter (fall??) storm got worse. Then it got better when we got home. Don't know why, but now it's worse again. Haha. I don't even know if the power ever came back on, but when we were there it was three hours ago now. I wonder if the power's back on.

It makes me HAPPY because I love snow. I just hope I still have Jazz practice tomorrow or this may be filed under ANNOYING. Haha.

OHMYGOODGRAVY there's THIRTEEN days until Christmas!! I'm so excited. It's such a good day because I get to see family members and there's always just a happy mood in the house.

Hey, so you, the reader, have you donated anything to any cause yet?? There are can drives, toy drives, money donations, etc. 'Tis the season for donating. (: It feels good to donate, because you know you're making another family happy. (: It's a reward in it's own.

In my school, we're currently doing a can drive and a Canadian Tire money drive. If you bring in a certain amount of cans, you will get a donut party in your class, and if you get the most a pizza party, and for the CT money drive, the highest raised class will win a donut party. This is what I ask: Why do you need these incentives to bring food in?? It's a reward knowing you're helping a family who doesn't have much. I've already donated a bunch of stuff and plan on donating more. It's a good feeling. If we win the donut party, cool, but honestly I could care less. (:

I guess what I'm saying is, have we gotten that greedy and selfish that we really need an incentive to do something nice?? I'm not trying to say anything bad here, but I just find it sad that we think we need to get something back for doing something nice. It bothers me.

ANYWAY, on a lighter note, I love caps lock. Haha. No really, on a different note, I'm getting back into Rise Against. They kind of slipped off my radar until someone tweeted about them. I looked around to see if they were on my computer, started listening again and now I can't get enough of them. :D It makes me happy.

So does Christmas music, but how can you not like Christmas music?? Unless it's become super commercial. Haha.

So, on another random note, I have a new stocking this year. It's Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer from the classic claymation movie thing that is epic. :D

Here's the story behind my old stocking:

I used to have a singing Scooby-Doo stocking. It was so cool. And not creepy, remember that. It wasn't creepy when I first got it. A few years after I got it, we had a dog. Dog wasn't happy and there was something wrong with him. He went on a rampage and tore a ton of things apart, including the "not creepy" Scooby stocking. He ripped his singing mouth apart, so when you got him to sing you could see right through into his chips that made him sing. I could lift part of his face off. Scooby stocking is now creepy. Dog went away to another family, and I still had Stocking. This was a couple of years ago, and I still had it up until this year. Stocking could still sing, and scared the crap out of me when it sang. So I threw Stocking out. It made me sad because I love Stocking, but it had to go. So I got Rudolph. Now it is all good. Haha. No more Christmas nightmares. Yay!!

Hmm, what else is there to say that has happened??

Hmmm.... Ooh...

So I'm a drummer, right? I've been playing for over five years, and have been taking lessons for five years, so I'm decent. I had a Christmas party last night, and a couple of my friends were pretty much begging me to go rock out. So I did. They filmed me. This is what happened. Please watch and tell me what you think in the little comment box :D :

Yeah, that's a little neat jazz thing I did.

So yeah, that's what I did. There's more, but I don't want to bore you with anymore. Haha. So anyway, we played foosball afterward. NOTE TO ALL OF YOU: If you have a bad wrist, don't play foosball and drum in the same night. You get nasty wrist pain to the point where you can't move your wrist the next day, and then you actually need to take medicine for it. I have wrist pain almost every day, but today was the worst of all. I never usually take any kind of anti-pain, anti-swelling pills, but my mom made me take a strong one because of how much pain I was in. Here's a judgement for you: I could move my wrist without it feeling like someone was jabbing daggers into my bones. Yeah. It was bad. Anyway, this medicine did help, but not too much. As of right now, it hurts a bit to type, but I'm okay. I can actually move it without too much pain, and it's almost back to it's normal pain level. Yay!! Just in time for a Christmas concert!!... Yupp, still hurts to airdrum. Hope I can play the real drums, considering I'm a drummer/percussionist for both Jazz and Senior Band at school. Haha.

Yeah, I'm rambling. A LOT. Whoo. I'm tired, bored, and a little hyper, so I'm just typing a bunch of random crap. Yay!! Anyway. This video I posted is taking a really long time to load. Whoo.

Right now, as I'm typing this, I'm watching The Simpsons. How many time has Fat Tony died? It's got to be quite a few, haha.

Of course, his cousin showed up and wants to kill Homer. No surprise there.

Anyway, so I went to the mall today. I don't like being by myself in public places, okay? Remember that. So I was supposed to meet my two friends I went to the theatre with there. We were supposed to meet in the food court, so I went there. Naturally, I couldn't find them, as the food court is usually super busy. I walked through the mall, getting more and more anxious as I went. I don't like being around strangers or crowds or being alone in public places. Unluckily, I was stuck with all three. I stood, leaning against a pole and had a panic attack. I went to the most familiar place to me in the mall: the bookstore. Silly, right? It made me feel better though. When I left the store, I went back to the food court and found them, thank God. I was still super shaky and scared, but felt better as time passed. Woohoo.

I wonder how long I can keep typing before I run out of things to say, or until you stop reading?? Forget it you've probably already stopped reading. A kangaroo just ate a hippo. Haha, got you. Just made sure you were paying attention. On to other things.

I have a big media project due in the new year, and needed to find evidence to prove my hypothesis. Guess what I had to do?? Watch Paranormal State and Ghost Hunters. Wow, such a shame, eh?? I watched both for about four hours, and found everything I needed. Hooray!!

This video is taking waaay too long to load, haha. Ahh well. I've got water and some chips to have while I'm waiting, whooo. Also, now it's Family Guy on the tv. Cool.

Anyway, back to real life.

This week is the last week of school before Christmas Break, whoo!! I'm so excited, because it's going to be so much fun. I don't know exactly what I'm going to do during those two weeks, but I'm sure it'll be fun.

Have you noticed how much smaller my paragraphs have gotten?? Yeah. It's because I'm running out of things to type, whoo.

Ooh, so anyone else a Paranormal fan?? Anyone like Paranormal State?? Have you read Ryan Buell's book? I'm going to post a review about it......... now:

So, when I first started watching Paranormal State, it scared the crap out of me, then I thought it was kind of hokey. When I heard Ryan was publishing a book, I thought, "Hey, let's read it, and see what he has to say." All I can say is, "WOW". I never looked at Paranormal State the way he decribes it in his book. It's opened my eyes to new possibilities and realities in the world of the Paranormal. It's so scary, but interesting. I have a whole new respect for him and his show. It totally became an actual reality show to me after reading this and seeing exactly how much work is put in, and how much everything affects him and his team. I believe you can't fake things like that. I am a little ashamed to admit the fact that I thought it was hokey because I didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings, but now I can say it, because I think it's definetely real now. It's scary to admit that, because of the things it opens up to someone who watches Supernatural and thinks things like demons and other things on the show aren't real. Now, I'm curious about these things, but also kind of terrified. Anyway, anyone who's interested in Paranormal State or the Paranormal in general should check this book out. I give it an A. Four and a half stars out of five for sure. (:

To keep this marathon blog post going while I wait for this video to post, I'm going to talk more about Christmas and giving, because I can't think of anything to post otherwise, but I want to type more. Haha.

So, at Christmastime, we have a bunch of fun making food, giving gifts, recieving gifts, etc. We should always remember to donate food/toys/anything else anyone needs this season. It's a cold season, and some people need jackets, hats, scarves, etc. I'm sure you have something lying around you can donate. If not, donate some money, then they can buy stuff they need. (:

Sorry for being pushy. :D

This is taking way too long. I'm debating whether or not to remove it and just link up my twitter video of it... Hmmm....

Yeah, that's what I'll do. It'll be easier that way. (:

Anyway, the link is up. Please check it out, then comment below. You'd be so awesome if you did that. :D

Anyway, I'm going to go before my power cuts out again. Snowstorms are awesome, but they suck for keeping the power on.

Smile!!
